| The
Butternut Cross-Country Center will be CLOSED for the winter of 2007-08 as the person who generally operates and maintaines the center and trail network is unable to do so for this winter.
Ski Butternut just got word of this in late November.
Over the summer we'll be assembling a plan to re-open the center for next winter.
The area in the past has offers
8 km. of groomed trails. The trail
system wanders over varying terrain, through
a beautiful wooded area, near the base of
the mountain. The trails offer easy access
to the Upper Lodge and the downhill skiing
facilities at Ski Butternut. The center
plans to be open every Friday, Saturday
& Sunday, plus all holiday periods (same as those designated
for the downhill ski area).
Natural
snow is necessary to open the X/C trails. There is no snowmaking system on the
cross country trails, at this time.
Adult
and children's cross-country rentals and lessons are
available.

or programs, call 413-528-0610,.
