Ski Butternut is located in the southwestern corner of Massachusetts, in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains near the town of Great Barrington. The $15 Lift tickets are certainly easing the pain felt by skiers who find lift ticket prices in the $55 - $72 range at some other New England mountains a bit taxing on their pocketbooks.

As an added bonus Ski Butternut is making the special $15 rate available every day (this includes weekends) starting March 14th and running through the end of the ski season. Last year the ski area remained open through April 3rd. 

“We have been offering these $15 lift tickets for several years and we know they are appreciated by both skiers and riders,” said Ski Butternut Marketing Director, Matthew Sawyer. “We hope people will enjoy a personal day away from work or even use a sick day so they can enjoy the mountain when it is the least utilized and often offering the best conditions.”

“The crowds are always much lighter during the week, and with the $15 price for a lift ticket, it is making time on the mountain affordable. Ski Butternut’s regular midweek rate is $32 for adults so this is less than half the regular midweek ticket price.

The ski area hopes that the guests will invest the savings into lessons to improve their skiing or riding skills. They also encourage parents to reward studious children with a day off from school. “There’s nothing more memorable for a child than to spend quality time with their family skiing or riding in the mountains.” Sawyer said.
